We know that kids today are facing more pressure, stress, and anxiety than ever before. Young Life is a place where kids can come and be kids. It's a place where they can laugh, be with friends, and consider faith in the context of community. All kids are welcome at Young Life, and leaders walk in friendship with kids no matter what they believe.
Our events have traditionally been called Young Life "club," but there are no memberships or dues - anyone is welcome! Club consists of music, games, laughter, and a short message about the love of God given by one of the leaders.
Young Life doesn’t start with a program. It starts with adults concerned enough about kids to go to them, on their turf and in their context, building bridges of authentic friendship. You may see Young Life leaders in the bleachers of sporting events or in the seats of the auditorium, cheering kids on and being their biggest fans.
"Campaigners" is a meeting that's typically smaller than club, and it's for students who decide they want to learn more about what we talk about at club or grow in their faith through study, service, and leadership.
Young Life owns and operates a number of world-class camping properties across the country. "Camping" is a loose term, however - these properties are more like resorts for teenagers. Kids who go to Young Life camp consistently tell us that it was the best week of their life.
The involvement of people like you is vital to healthy, sustainable, quality youth work in our area.
Please let us know if you'd like to be involved!
